Exploring the NSC SIF Prevention Model: Tools for Reduction 

This interactive workshop will dive into the National Safety Council (NSC) Serious Incidents and Fatalities (SIF) Prevention model, a framework designed to identify and mitigate high-risk activities in the workplace. Participants will explore key tools within the model, including risk assessment strategies, proactive safety metrics, and incident investigation techniques focused on SIF potential. Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage with experts, ask questions, and gain insights on implementing the NSC SIF prevention strategies in their own EHS programs.

Solving MSD Issues: A Collective Hackathon Experience 

The MSD Solutions Lab Hackathon will bring together diverse groups of students and safety and health professionals to brainstorm and develop creative solutions to specific musculoskeletal disorder issues in the workplace. This workshop style event allows participants to enhance their technical, problem-solving, and presentation skills in a collaborative environment. 

Participants will work in teams to develop innovative solutions for high- risk tasks reported by BLS and Injury Facts in hopes of being deemed the Hackathon winner*.
