Julia G. Abate is the Executive Director for The Ergonomics Center, housed in the Edward P. Fitts Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at NC State University. She is a Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) with over 25 years of experience in the field. Julia is currently a Co-Chair for the Applied Ergonomics Conference (AEC) and a Technical Vice Presidents for the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineering (IISE). She also serves on the advisory boards for the IISE Transactions on Occupational Ergonomics and Human Factors, the North Carolina Occupational Safety and Health Education and Research Center (NC OSHERC) and the NSC’s MSD SolutionsLab.
