Dr. JuHyeong Ryu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial and Management Systems Engineering at West Virginia University. He holds a B.S. in Architectural Engineering from Dankook University (Republic of Korea), an M.S. in Construction Engineering and Management from the University of Michigan, and a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Waterloo (Canada). Dr. Ryu leads the Human-Centered Intelligent Systems (HCIS) lab, which focuses on enhancing human performance through emerging technologies such as wearables, AI, IoT, robotics, and mixed reality. His notable achievements include the 2024 Young Faculty Award from KSCEA, Best Paper Awards at the 2024 IISE conference, the 2023 National Science Foundation Seed Grant, the 2022 Mitacs Accelerate Fellowship.
